Monday Night NFL Football Gambling |
Monday Night Football
Monday night football first came about when ABC Network struck a deal with the NFL commission to air one main game Per week to interest more sports fans to the the greatest game ever invented by man. To make the games even more exciting the two teams competing usually played each other either in the playoffs the prior year, or the Super Bowl. Sports fans will not see this happen on regular Sunday's because only local teams get televised due to NFL and TV contracts.

Sports Betting Online - The better way to place a bet |
Why choose sports gambling over other forms of gambling? Putting aside the entertainment factor, there is one simple reason. You have a better chance of winning consistently.
Over the long term, most casino games cannot be beat. If you play long enough, you will lose. The possible exceptions are poker, which involves elements of skill and psychology, and blackjack for those who are skilled at counting cards.
Sports gambling offers a unique skill based opportunity for winning. Sports betting essentially involves two opposing bets by individuals with the sportsbook acting as a sort of broker. The sportsbook makes its money from the broker fees - the "juice" - and will adjust the odds and betting lines up or down to try and assure a roughly equal number of bettors on both sides of any proposition. The individual bettor is pitting his judgment on the outcome of an event against the judgment of another bettor. By doing your homework before making a bet, you can directly increase the chances of winning your bets - particularly over the long run.
Why placing a bet online is better than your local bookie. (More Info) |
Different types of bets to wager on football |
Straight Bets
The team wagered on must win by the point spread given at the time of the wager. For straight wagers, unless otherwise indicated, the odds are $1.10 to win $1.00. Games that tie are considered "no action" and money is re-deposited back into your account. Due to changing events, the point spread may fluctuate at any time.
Example: Player wagers $110.00 on Cleveland -6 to beat +6 If S an Diego wins by more than 6 points the player wins $100.00 so the total payout including the initial wager would be $210.00. If Cleveland only wins by 6 points then the game is considered "no action" and all money is returned to the bettor. If the Cleveland wins by less than 7 points the wagers is lost.
Brief explanation of the different types of bets to wager on football (NFL).
1) Keep it entertaining and fun to do, while playing intelligently, and the small
house advantage in the game of your choice will be a small price for you
to pay for that entertainment.
2) Give yourself a limit in time and money spent for this entertainment, treating it as
any other recreational sport. You wouldn't agonize through three double head
days of baseball back to back, or a marathon viewing session of three, four or five hockey games in one night, so don't over do this form of sport either.
